Hi! My name is Dr. Dennis Hogan and although I have scholastically achieved a Ph.D. through formal study from a renowned east coast business school I seldom go by Dr. Hogan. Please just call me Dennis. My education provided me with textbook knowledge but it is my experiential knowledge and innate analytical ability that is recognized as my best and most useful asset. You see I relish the knowledge gained by every failure I’ve experienced. It is not my success that have been the best teacher but instead the failures. As a consultant and mentor I use this experience to guide me in assisting and leading you and your company to maximum success.
From my first business venture of selling worms and kool aid to operating a paper route and a minor moment of glory as a one time published author in an outdoor magazine and then a one man taxidermy operation before the age of 18. Surely many mistakes were made in those adventures but later I would realize the valuable experience gained. It has been over 30 years of business involvement since that time and many more failures than successes but in each failure a lesson, an experience earned that can’t be gained in a classroom nor by working for someone else and most of all isn’t earned by success.
As a consultant or mentor I will use this experience to insure your success. Of course my scholastic achievement has provided me with the tools to apply these lessons and tailor a program to fulfill my promise of prosperity to you.
My approach is best described as “Executive Sharing”. My clients essentially share my executive talents between each other. So they reap the benefits and rewards of needed service and there investment is fractional in comparison.
Why don’t I take a full time CEO position?
In 2001 my son was born and before age two diagnosed with autism. Shortly thereafter I was divorced and made the decision that a traditional executive position or consulting work requiring 60 plus hours per week was no longer acceptable. I needed and wanted to spend time with my son and guide him in a way that my father was unable to do for me because of his very heavy work schedule. I removed myself from the corporate world and began working with a childhood passion involving dogs. It was very successful in providing me with an acceptable level of income and time with my son but as usual I began to feel unchallenged and found myself wanting for the challenge of business structuring while still maintaining a reasonable schedule for my son.
This resulted in designing a one of a kind consulting approach where I can keep myself involved by mentoring small companies and securing their prosperity. Simple really, in a large company a CEO works long hours and draws a commensurate compensation usually exceeding $500,000. Smaller companies can’t possibly make use of, or afford a true full time CEO so the “job” usually gets lumped into the job description of the owner along with many other responsibilities. Most owners have no idea the functions of a real CEO so the job basically doesn’t get done. Sure, enough is done so the company functions and even often profits but NEVER, and I mean NEVER, to the level possible with CEO level guidance. Worse yet many companies eventually fail. In some 28 plus years working with over 300 businesses I have never found one that could not make substantial gains with strong executive level mentoring. My work encompasses every area of business function and includes every type of business. Whether you have 2 employees or 500. Whether you are a manufacturer, service company, doctors office, retailer, wholesaler, distributor, mechanic’s shop, farmer, or any other type of business I will make a positive difference with your company that will lead to a unique opportunity to prosper like few companies ever do. With me results are guaranteed.
So now that you have found an executive that will work 5, 10, 15 or however many hours a month you actually need me. I’ve solved the problem for you! Now please look through the other pages then give me a call. I’m very easy to talk with.
