My business consulting and mentoring model is designed around the concept of providing the necessary oversight and guidance to move your company into a position of maximum realized value.  Every program is customized and designed around your company’s individual needs. 

Unlike consultants that only work with finances or marketing or production, professing to be specialists in their given field I always work with the big picture in mind.  That is to say that I will take into consideration every aspect of your business and develop an integrated approach that produces results greater than the value of its individual parts. All small businesses are a combination of their different departments and for true prosperity a consultant must weigh and balance what they do and how it may cross-effect different departments for maximum results.  This “Total Picture” approach will give your company the stability to evolve and maintain prosperity over long term existence rather than just short term growth.

Keep in mind that I understand that you may only think you need help with marketing or finances or receivables ect. but experience has taught me that developing one of these areas without consideration and attention to all areas will surely lead to minimal long term success.

For example: A new receivables management program effects your sales and marketing department which in turn will effect your production and/or warehousing which effects your purchasing department and so on, until every single department comes in to play.  The benefits of my approach really become common sense when you see this total picture.

You may draw the conclusion that this level of consulting/mentoring will be very investment laden, or just plain expensive. Actually that couldn’t be more wrong.  My services will cost no more, in fact often far less, than any of these so called specialist who only focus on one or two aspects of your business.

It is my intent to develop an ongoing relationship with your company where after identifying the issues, together we will decide how to best address them and in what order or sequence will be best for your company. After the issues are resolved, corrected, or extinguished I will retreat to a position of conscientious oversight and observation that will be necessary for the preservation of the prosperity which has evolved through my guidance. I will continue to analyze your business functions in order to “bump” you back on track on your course of business evolution should something indicate the need. Since I am in constant observation of your company I will also serve as an advisor and sounding board for any new ideas you or your employees may consider developing. I will be there to guide you to proper implementation whenever you need me.

Why is all this necessary? As an owner/operator of a business you become enthralled in its day to day function and develop relationships with your employees, vendors, and clients that often emotionally cloud your judgment. It is a fact that nearly 99% of business owners are not able to maintain the objectivity necessary to properly develop problem solving strategies to address important issues within their company. Furthermore even if they are able too they will tend to see only one view point and this limits them from being able to choose the best course of action.  Many business failures throughout history are the direct result of decisions based on emotions.  These include the recent problems of the Wall Street giants, the banking industries, and the big three automobile industry. For larger businesses such as these, it is usually the emotion of “Greed”, however in smaller companies it is more often the emotions of personal feelings or kinship that cause the most problems.

These personal emotions are what makes small business so special and it is not my intent to remove them from your company. As a Mentor I will not develop these types of relationships within your company instead I remain very objective, as a true CEO should, and I will present options and insight based on facts, education, and experience not emotions. Of course you have the final decisions as to what takes place and I work with you to customize any approach but you will make this decisions with a more complete understanding based on my insight.
